Community Facilities

The community facilities, Marcham Centre, are situated in the heart of the village and includes the village hall, the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and the playing fields.

Government Covid-19 rules mean that the new village hall has not been open for the community to use so far. The good news is that gradual opening for community groups and societies is due to start on Monday 14th September

Bookings for private events will be possible later on, provisionally from October (subject to Covid rules). Unfortunately the Bar is not open yet for community use. Once regular bookings have all been confirmed and timetabled, the online booking system will be available to use. Until then, to make an enquiry or ask any questions about bookings please email:

Keep an eye on the Marcham Centre Facebook page, the website: and the October edition of MADNews for updates. See the September edition of MADNews for more information

We look forward to seeing you before too much longer in our new home, Marcham Centre. We are already thinking about a programme of community events and activities for next year.

MCG has commissioned an artist to create a new sign for Marcham Centre

Suzanne O'Driscoll is a local artist who has worked on many public art projects around Oxfordshire. She is going to create some different artwork options for signage for the new Centre and we will be approaching village groups to help choose the final design. We will also be asking YOU to vote for your favourite design in October so watch this space.

Marcham Community Group (MCG) operates the new Marcham Centre

Over recent years MCG has driven forward the development of new community leisure facilities in Marcham. While doing this MCG has also been concerned with actively encouraging the revival of some of the communal events and the social life in the village through its many fundraising events.

As a membership organisation with elected directors, MCG represents its members' views. MCG holds open information meetings on important issues (to which non-members are welcome as well). The new Marcham Centre will soon be open and so MCG will value its members' input more than ever.

By becoming a member you receive regular news bulletins to keep you informed and you have a voice in the way the village facilities develop. You can download the membership form from the MCG website:
